These Terms explain the rules for using RoleMerit AI. They are written in plain English so job seekers can understand what the product does, what it does not do, and what users remain responsible for.
What RoleMerit AI Does
RoleMerit AI is a review-first job-search workbench. It helps users organize job searches, review role fit, analyze resumes, draft outreach, prepare application materials, and track applications so users can make better decisions about where to spend their time.
What RoleMerit AI Does Not Do
RoleMerit AI does not submit applications, send messages, contact employers, impersonate users, scrape authenticated job boards, bypass platform restrictions, or guarantee outcomes. It is not an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, job placement agency, legal advisor, financial advisor, background-check company, or hiring decision maker.

User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of the information you provide or use. This includes your resume, job history, dates, credentials, education, certifications, licenses, work authorization, contact information, and any statements you choose to send to an employer or recruiter.
AI-Generated Content
AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or poorly matched to a specific situation. You must review all AI-generated resumes, role-fit notes, messages, summaries, and recommendations before using them. Do not use output that adds unsupported experience, fake credentials, false dates, invented employers, or claims you cannot truthfully support.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use RoleMerit AI for dishonest, harmful, abusive, or platform-violating activity.
Submitting false or misleading information to employers, recruiters, schools, government agencies, or job platforms.
Creating fake credentials, fake work history, fake references, fake dates, or unsupported resume claims.
Automating mass applications, spam outreach, or messages that the user has not reviewed.
Scraping authenticated job boards or bypassing access controls, rate limits, paywalls, robots rules, or platform terms.
Attempting to access another user's account, data, resumes, subscription, or saved results.
Uploading malware, illegal content, or information you do not have permission to use.
Accounts and Security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Use a strong password and contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Resume, Job, and User Content
You keep ownership of the resumes, job notes, application records, and other content you provide. By using RoleMerit AI, you allow the service to process that content to operate the product, generate reviewable outputs, store your results, and provide related account support.
Third-Party Job Sites and Links
RoleMerit AI may show or help organize links, job postings, company pages, or other third-party information. Those sites are controlled by other companies. You are responsible for opening the source posting, verifying details, following third-party site rules, and deciding whether to apply.
Paid Plans, Billing, Renewals, Cancellation, and Refunds
Paid plans unlock additional RoleMerit AI features. Subscription billing is handled by Stripe or another payment processor shown at checkout. Prices, billing intervals, renewal dates, taxes, and payment details are presented before purchase. Subscriptions renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel billing through the app where available. Refunds are not guaranteed and may be handled case by case unless required by law.
No Employment or Professional Guarantees
No guarantees are made about interviews, offers, employment, salary, income, ATS performance, employer responses, recruiter responses, application success, or career outcomes. RoleMerit AI provides organization, analysis, and draft materials for your review; final decisions and actions are yours.
Privacy and Data
RoleMerit AI processes account, resume, job, application, billing, and usage information to provide the service. See the Privacy Policy for more detail about product data and AI processing.
Intellectual Property
RoleMerit AI and related branding are owned by Aaron Christianson. The site, product design, workflows, scoring approach, copy, code, and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse the service except as allowed by law or by written permission.
Service Availability and Changes
RoleMerit AI may change, pause, limit, or discontinue features as the product improves. The service may be interrupted by maintenance, third-party provider issues, internet problems, security events, or usage spikes. We try to keep the product reliable, but uninterrupted availability is not promised.
Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if an account violates these Terms, creates security risk, abuses AI or payment systems, attempts to access another user account or data, or uses the product in a way that could harm users, employers, platforms, or RoleMerit AI.
Disclaimers
RoleMerit AI is provided as a practical job-search support tool. It is offered without warranties about accuracy, availability, suitability for a specific job, or fitness for a particular purpose. Job postings, market data, employer requirements, and AI outputs can change or be wrong, so users should verify important details before relying on them.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, RoleMerit AI and its owner will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, lost income, lost data, employer decisions, platform decisions, or hiring outcomes related to use of the service.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless another law is required to apply.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated as RoleMerit AI changes. If changes are material, we may provide notice in the app or by another reasonable method. Continued use of the service after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
